Many know what they are, many are just starting their journey to a more positive mindset using them. Affirmations are words, sayings, phrases that one recites to them self, or aloud, to affirm what is being said.
Millions of people make this a habit of doing every single day to help them to get into and stay in a positive mindset. This in turn helps them lead happier, more enthusiastic and productive days.

Do You Believe?
Affirmations have been proven to work when the person saying them truly believes what they are saying. This can be somewhat of a difficult hurdle to overcome if you don’t and are trying to change who you are and your outlook.
One train to thought is the “fake it till you make it” technique. This way says that if you keep saying, acting, thinking, and doing a certain thing or way, then that will eventually become your reality. I personally have had very little success with this technique. I usually give up well before the outcome I want comes about and I become discouraged.
The way that I have found works for me is to find affirmations that I know to be true, but maybe not necessarily one that I want to recite. I start with 10 that I believe, and then after 10 days of reciting these to myself every day, I substitute one out for one that I don’t believe 100% and say that for 2 weeks with the other 9 that I know are true.
Surrounded by the statements that I know to be true, I start to believe the 1 that was not 100% believable. When that 1 does become 100% believable, I swap out one of the original 9 out for another one that is not 100% and go another 2 weeks. Keep repeating this process till you gained a belief of 100% in all affirmations that you want.
Another thing to keep in mind, that as you start your road with affirmations, you will start to see changes in your life. Depending on the affirmations you are saying will depend on changes you see. Embrace and journey through these changes and enjoy it.
The best affirmations are ones that are personalized for you. This gives you a higher probability of believing them 100%. That being said, here are list of affirmations to help get you started. Please feel free to personalize them so they make sense to you.
